This month, Linda & I are calling you to service and we hope that you will accept the challenge as you have in the past. As you know, we support Turning Point Ministries and their Second Chance Boutique through our time, talents, donations and monetary gifts.
This month we have the opportunity to share God's love with the children living at the shelter by providing them with back-to-school supplies so that they will be able to walk into school on the first day prepared. There are currently 11 children living at the shelter and of those just seven are school age. With such a small number of children to take care of I know that we can make a big difference for them! Below is a list of items that they need for school; please hit "respond to all" under your reply key to sign up for the items you will provide. This way we won't have lots of markers and no backpacks because we'll all be able to see at a glance which supplies have been provided and which need to be bought. So the four little ones don't feel left out, I'd like to provide a little tote bag (already have tote bags) for each child with a coloring book, crayons, and a storybook or two. That way all of the children will receive a back-to-school surprise.

If we get all of the above items and anyone feels led to make additional donations, I have a general monthly supply list of items that they use. This includes paper towels, toilet tissue, napkins, paper plates, 16 oz & 8 oz cups, laundry detergent, clorox, dryer sheets, sugar, coffee, creamer, dishwashing liquid, liquid soap, cleaning supplies (Lysol, Comet, Pine Sol) disinfecting spray, pillow, deoderant, bath towels and wash cloths, dish towels, twin sheets & blankets.
