Devotion –Mary Cleveland lead us in a devotion based on John 9:23 and Revelations 21:4 “The Lord Our Healer”
Secretary’s Report – The April minutes were approved.
Treasurer’s Report – The treasurer’s report was approved.
College Student Project – Still looking for someone to organize this. We will send cards/notes/gift cards out to the students in September and February.
Co-President Position – Linda Whitener has agreed to hold the co-president position for June 2010 – May 2011. Start praying about who will step up in December to fill Sharon’s position.
Mother/Daughter Tea - Was well attended. Notes for next year: move speaker away from the window area. Serve more savory and less sweet. The filled Phillo shells were a good idea. We served 120 this year, more needed for next year. It was agreed to give a cash “thank you gift” to Robbie for working the sound system. The gift will come out of the extra money that was collected for the harpist.
Mother’s Day Flower Cart - Sharon Eichler will purchase $100 worth of single stem roses in various colors. Linda Whitener got the water tubes donated. Pat Schell and Roseanne will meet at the church on Saturday to put the roses in the water tubes.
Beach Retreat – May 14th–16th. There is one room left. The committee is working hard getting the details together for this retreat.
Manly-Breakfast – HANDS will be providing breakfast for the G.U.Y.S group during their meeting on June 12th. Pat Schell and Mary Cleveland will inform the GUYS. We will finalize the menu and details at the June meeting.
Bookmark/Brochure – Sharon is working on this and will finalize to have it handed out at worship service one Sunday.
Future Activities - It was suggested that we could schedule some “fun” activities for next year such as outings for brunch or to a tea/coffee shop.
